No, I don’t think so. He would be like George Lazenby and decide after one movie that he wants out. Bond has nothing of the things Benedict seem to look in the parts he selects. Bond is a walking cliché, he has no emotional development, his part of a franchise so mighty, that any actor has no feedom in his portray. I don’t think this is what Benedict wants. He already did an unforgettable action hero/villain and there will be enough other chances at playing such roles but if so, my guess he would choose a character he can make his own. Ever since “Deer Hunter” Christopher Walken has been one of my favorite actors, but my, was he disappointing as a Bond villain…..Because IMHO the Bond machinery devours the actors…
You have a great point… true true. I just think he’d do very well in an action movie, and he’s said he’d like to try something to that effect. Hm, maybe the best bet will be a new character completely, so that way he has free range.
